This is more than a bit late but it is better than never! Here we have the Neck Down Cardi Wrap sweater:
DSC00020

Look familiar to those who were at the DKC Frolic? Megan borrowed it to use as a display piece for the Lettuce Knit booth. I finished knitting it the day before the Frolic and lent it out before I had had a chance to wear it! Since it’s return it has become a staple wardrobe piece…I may even knit another in a black for a classic piece that can be either casual or dressy. I knit the i-cord that threads through the side and out the back a bit longer so that I had some extra room for belly expansion.

The pattern is from Knitting Pure and Simple, the yarn is Dream In Color in the Happy Forest colourway. Knit on Denise 7 needles using about 4 and a 1/2 skeins of yarn and it took me about 4-ish weeks to knit.

    LOVE!IT!

I think I know what I’m going to do with all the deliciously green romney/mohair yarn that I bought from Lindenhof last year! It’s amazing how sometimes I need to see the right sweater in the right colour to know what I’m going to make…. but isn’t this the “what to wear when you’re pregnant sweater”? Hmm… I don’t think I’m ready for that kind of commitment yet.

I am making the same sweater in Dream in Color Pinks. Did you find any mistakes in the pattern? I don’t understand why they have you make one stitch on each edge and then they change it to casting on one stitch. What did you do?
