So still no baby even though the contraction fairy likes to waltz through the room every so often to point and laugh at me. My Dad and Brother in Law are most disappointed, they were quite looking forward to a new baby (and a boy at that!) by the weekend (they can be such old ladies sometimes!) but they are consoling/distracting themselves with such activities as the Steam Threshing Days and puttering around their respective houses.

I however, am a bit restless and am trying to keep myself distracted with a short list of things I want to finish up around the house before Baby Boy arrives but I only seem to have enough motivation to add chores to my “To Do” list. Instead I’m having a serious bout with excessive startitis (sadly finishitupitis has yet to hit). Perhaps it was that refreshing cold snap we just had (Please come back!!!) or some mental malfunction that is compelling me to have some sort of knitting project on literally every set of needles I own! In the past week I have cast on a sweater, ordered yarn for another sweater, cast on a sock and am now looking at casting on a second sweater as well as another shawl. My Ravelry queue is growing at an exponential rate and I have had to limit my exposure to the project search page, although it’s been great for stash busting! And I’m about to finish over dyeing some yarn so I can re-cast on Licorice Whip, the yarn was originally a kahki colour which just wasn’t going to work for me so I’m dyeing it all black.
And have I mentioned the WooLee Winder yet? Yeah I bought one and I want it now!!! Why can’t we have teleportation?!!! We were promised teleportation and robot maids in those In the Future/World of Tomorrow newsreels from the 50′s!!! It should be here soon. With my luck it will arrive the day I go into labour and then there will be a big debate as to whether or not the wheel will come to the hospital so I can continue to spin while in the last throws of labour.
