However the other two skeins I bought are in full violation of the terms of my yarn diet and I’m quite alright with that.
Personally I blame LimenViolet. I have been playing catchup with their pod casts and had an epiphany for some gifts while listening to the Yarn Pr*n segment of an episode this afternoon. The actual breach took place at Cider Moon where I bought two skeins of their Blizzard sock yarn in the June Carter and Johnny Cash colourways and two skeins of Glacier in Thin Mint and Pandora Rose. So two of these skeins are going to be knit up into socks for two members of my family (if you know my family it’s dead easy to figure it out) as either Christmas (if I draw their names) or birthday presents (if I don’t). The other two pairs are going to be knit up into some socks for me.
I’m Tres Excited for these yarns to arrive…now to begin the hunt for patterns.

I love the names.
I personally have different rules for things that wont stay in the stash for long like donation or coworker baby blanket yarn. Things that aren’t for me and have to be done rather enjoyed.
