This is now my second turkey day in a row where I haven’t had any turkey…I think if this happens again next year I’ll just have to take matters into my own hands!
So even though I’m turkeyless (the full impact has just hit me…no turkey means no left over turkey fry-up tomorrow morning!) I’m going to try to keep with the spirit of the holiday and be thankfull.
I’m thankful for:
*my family and friends who are great supports and partners in crime.
*that I have access to Universal Healthcare. After Abi’s recent health issues I cannot tell you how thankful I am that I don’t have to worry about my Insurance deciding which treatment my kid may or may not qualify for!
*my breast pump! For those times when Jr decides that your about to burst your dams and yet Jr hasn’t the slightest interest in feeding.
There are other things I’m thankful for but I have an impatient preschooler demanding I play kitchen with her.

Almost finished my first sock of a pair of monkeys in Socks that Rock colourway Harlotty (YarnHarlot) for my Aunt.
Us too. No bird at all. Consolation prize was the excess of fun game playing, but brunch with mum n’dad and Anita was the closest we had to a Family Meal.
(((insert wee pout here)))
Though the truth is, not doing All That Work didn’t suck at all.
